About Going Green Natural Foundation
Welcome to Going Green Natural Foundation, where we are dedicated to promoting a healthier and more sustainable world. Our mission is clear: to tackle one of the most pressing global issues today, Environmental pollution (land, air and water pollution), and its profound impact on human health. Through our initiatives and partnerships, we aim to create a brighter, cleaner future for all.
The Global Pollution Crisis
A landmark study conducted with EU support by the Lancet Commission on pollution in health finds that pollution caused 9 million deaths across the world in 2019, that is 1 in every 6 deaths and more than War, Terrorism, Malaria, HIV, and Drugs. Shockingly, a disproportionate 92% of these pollution-related fatalities occurred in low-income and middle-income countries, with the most vulnerable members of society, including the marginalized and the young, bearing the heaviest burden of health consequences.
Nigeria's Unique Challenges
Nigeria’s air quality poses a grave threat to its youngest citizens. In 2019, a staggering 67,900 new-borns in Nigeria lost their lives within their first month due to air pollution, making it the second deadliest country for new-borns, as per the Health Effect Institute’s 2020 State of Global Air report. Tragically, children under the age of five bear the brunt of air pollution-related illnesses, with a shocking 78 percent of pneumonia deaths linked to air pollution in Nigeria, the highest proportion worldwide, according to the Global Burden of Disease (GBD 2019). UNICEF’s revelation in Abuja on November 12, 2021, emphasized Nigeria’s grim distinction as the leader in child pneumonia deaths, attributed to overall air pollution and household air pollution-related pneumonia. Furthermore, Abuja was named the most polluted city in Nigeria in 2022 by IQAir. The World Health Organization (WHO) underscores that indoor air pollution poses a silent yet severe threat, contributing to a range of health issues, from cancer and heart disease to stroke, depression, and cognitive decline.
Our Commitment to Change

At Going Green Natural Foundation, we understand the gravity of this crisis, and we are committed to making a difference. In partnership with Healthy Air Technology Nigeria Limited, we have launched a Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) project aimed at donating advanced Healthy Air Technology Air purification systems to hospitals across Nigeria. This initiative not only demonstrates our dedication to improving air quality in Nigeria but also underscores our commitment to the well-being of communities facing the harsh realities of pollution.

A Call to Action
The urgent need for increased support in pollution management is evident in Nigeria, as well as in many other countries. Pollution is a challenge that, with concerted effort at the local, national, regional, and global levels, is solvable in the near term. Access to clean fresh air can no longer be taken for granted as air quality has drastically deteriorated over time, due to urbanization and industrialization. By taking action now, we can save lives and unlock daily access to fresh organic air as mother nature intended, not only in Nigeria but around the world.
